HEVER CASTLE GOLF & WELLBEING
HITS THE MARK WITH NATIONAL
GOLF ACCREDITATION FOR
SAFEGUARDING
The iconic girl group, All Saints is heading to Margate on Saturday 8th August
for an explosive live set as part of the Margate Pride celebrations.
Comprising Melanie Blatt, Shaznay Lewis, Natalie & Nicole Appleton, All
Saints became one of the most successful pop groups of the 1990s with two
multi-platinum albums, record sales in excess of 12 million worldwide and 5
number one hits including double BRIT award-winning Never Ever, Under
The Bridge/Lady Marmalade, Black Coffee and Pure Shores (written for the
film The Beach).
The band released their first new album in 10 years 'Red Flag' in 2016, and
their new album ‘Testament’ saw the band reunite with producer William
Orbit in 2018 and embark on a new UK tour.
Pride just one of oneFUNdred reasons to visit Dreamland in 2020 for its
centenary celebrations.
Tickets for All Saints at Dreamland are on sale now.
Hever Castle Golf & Wellbeing in Kent, which is backing the drive to grow
the game, has achieved the SafeGolf club accreditation from England Golf.
SafeGolf is a partnership of UK golf bodies committed to promoting a safe
and positive environment for all those participating, working and volunteering
in the sport of golf.
In receiving the SafeGolf standard, the club, which includes an 18 hole golf
course and a wellbeing centre, has demonstrated its commitment to safeguarding
children and young people, as well as adults at risk, in the sport of golf.
Hever Castle Golf & Wellbeing works hard to attract new people to the sport.
It runs junior golf coaching to encourage younger players to try the sport as
well as putting and prosecco events to attract more women.
PGA head professional, Peter Parks said “The entire team of PGA Coaches
along with all the club staff are delighted to receive this accreditation. Hever
Castle Golf & Wellbeing is committed to delivering both a fun and enjoyable
experience to all that visit and safeguarding is a very important part in enabling
us to do so.”
CERTIFICATE OF EXCELLENCE AWARDED TO BRIDGE REFURBISHMENT WORKS
A multi-million pound bridge
refurbishment has been awarded a
Certificate of Excellence for its
dedication to improving the image of
the construction industry.
The Rochester Bridge Refurbishment
Project received the recognition
following its second inspection by the
Considerate Constructors Scheme
(CCS) which reviewed the project’s
commitment to appearance,
community, environment, safety and
workforce.
The refurbishment, a project to bring
the three bridges owned by the
Rochester Bridge Trust into the best
possible condition for the future, was
particularly praised for the appearance
of the works and workforce; exceptional
community engagement; excellent
recycling procedures; and a
commitment to safety and welfare.

Sue Threader, bridge clerk (chief
executive) to the Trust, said: “I am
incredibly proud of this award, which
recognises the efforts of everyone
involved in the refurbishment.
“This acknowledges the consideration
and determination of all, and is as much
about us as considerate constructors as
it is about the standard of work
completed so far.”
Liam McGoldrick, senior contracts
manager for FM Conway, which is
carrying out the works, added: “This is
a brilliant pat on the back for our whole
workforce. We all take pride in our
work and to have those efforts
recognised by such a prestigious scheme
really means a lot to us.
“The Considerate Constructors Scheme
makes a huge difference to the way our
industry is seen by others, and to know
our efforts are a part of that is
incredible.”
