THE BEST WAYS TO
Spring Clean
YOUR MIND
WITH SPRING OFFICIALLY HERE, MANY OF US FEEL THE URGE TO GRAB THE RUBBER GLOVES AND
GIVE OUR HOMES A THOROUGH SPRING CLEAN FROM TOP TO BOTTOM. PAYING ATTENTION TO
THOSE AREAS THAT OFTEN GET NEGLECTED, A GOOD CLEAR OUT, DE-CLUTTER AND CLEAN, HELPS
US TO PREPARE FOR THE WARMER MONTHS AHEAD. BUT WHY STOP AT YOUR HOME? A GOOD
SPRING CLEAN OF THE MIND WILL ENABLE YOU TO DE-CLUTTER YOUR BRAIN SO YOU ARE MENTALLY
REFRESHED AND READY TO FACE LIFE HEAD ON.
If you ever feel like your mind is just
one, long, cluttered to-do list and you
are struggling to keep up, then you need
to deal with it in the same way as if all
your belongings just fell out of your
wardrobe. Take everything out, sort
through what you want to keep and what
needs to be thrown away, and pack it
all back away neatly. Here are some top
tips on how to effectively de-clutter and
spring clean your mind.

Sleep, glorious sleep Tell yourself you can do it
First of all the best method to clear your mind, and improve
your overall health, is sleep. The majority of us don’t get
enough sleep at the best of times, but the start of British
Summer Time only disrupts this even further. Whilst we
have been waiting for those longer evenings and extra
daylight hours, it can play havoc with our sleep patterns.
Lisa Artis of the Sleep Council advises that by moving
your bedtime earlier by just 10 minutes or so in the days
approaching, you can minimise the impact on your sleep. Our minds are incredibly powerful tools, and a positive
mindset allows you to focus and achieve your goals. Science
has proved that the only way to rewire your brain to think
more proactive thoughts is to practice thinking them
repeatedly. So by simply repeating positive affirmations
the more your brain believes it, helping you to think more
clearly and positively.
