This event features highly talented performers from
around the country including Kent, Surrey and
London. Up to 16 musicians each give a recital in
front of distinguished judges – results are announced
and prizes given at the end of the day. Previous
competitors have also previously appeared on BBC
Young Musician programmes including the 2014
BBC Young Musician Of The Year finalist, Sophie
Westbrooke. Please note under 16s can go free if
accompanied by an adult.

the art of calligraphy! Talented local artist Graham
Boniface will be holding a two-hour workshop which
is perfectly suited to beginners, to help you achieve
enviable and elegant handwriting. There will be
nibbles, tea and coffee throughout.

Join the Edenbridge and District Astronomers for
an evening looking at the night sky in the farmyard!
Fingers crossed for a clear night so you can look
through powerful telescopes to search out deep sky
objects. You will be looking out for Venus, as well
as Hyades, Pleiades, Orion and Andromeda. The
team will talk you through the observations and give
hints and tips about other key astronomical objects
or events you can look out for over the coming
months, and will be on hand to answer questions
about how you can get into astronomy at home.

Multi-genre Canterbury fusion band Lapis Lazuli
bring their funk, progressive, psychedelic, fusion,
rock, latin, balkan and afrobeat styles to Ashford on
13 March. The band will be joined by Kent-born
guitarist, harpist and pianist Natalie Evans, as she
wraps her minimalist and deceptively simple lyrical
lines in winning hooks and harmonies.
