environmentally friendly materials, we are also
seeking furniture that is sustainable and built to last.
Leading children’s furniture retailer Cuckooland
has revealed that their environmentally conscious
customers want to buy furniture that will last through
the years and has reported a 70% growth in its
Lifetime brand - a unique range that: “grows with
the child, reducing the need to replace furniture as
the child outgrows it.” Made from sustainable pine,
coming with a minimum 5-year guarantee and
designed to allow increases to frame height, changes
to theme/design as well as simply to get back to a
standard single bed; the Lifetime range not only
allows for expression and imagination but also to

decade. As Mickey Bryant, interior stylist at stylish
wooden furniture brand Nöa & Nani explains: “The
Loki beds are an ideal fit for your spare room or
shared living space because of their practicality.
They're also very chic.” Whilst the Treehouse beds
offer not only stylish, natural comfort, but plenty of
scope for play.
Whether it's to save space whilst adding additional

How often do we find that our best night’s sleep comes not from a night in our
own bedroom but from zzz caught in a hotel room? As luxury bed linen brand
Sheridan points out: “In an age where sleep deprivation is common, a good
night’s sleep has become that of a luxury.” So in order to redress the balance,
it's time to create five-star luxury in our own homes.
Hotels now invest heavily and wisely in their bedroom trappings, from Royal-
warranted mattresses to custom linen, pillow menus to signature scents - and for
good reason, with many positive reviews and return stays hinging on comfort
levels and a quality sleep experience. This concept has underpinned the bedroom
design at the newly opened Cave Hotel (www.cavehotels.com), near Canterbury,
which researched and invested in award-winning mattresses and in creating
custom linen and sumptuous throws, which luckily for us will soon be available
to purchase to take home.

So how do you start with creating a hotel luxury at home? With a statement bed
of course. And So To Bed’s glamorous Bayswater Upholstered Bed, available
in six sizes, combines smooth lines and an antique mirrored finish with classic
fabric upholstery. Whilst Andrew Martin’s stylish and individualistic range is
designed to complement any bedroom design, adding relaxed sophistication as
well as an attention-grabbing centrepiece. Finish the look with sleek furniture,
the new Barbican collection from MY Furniture, inspired by modernist architecture,
is bang on the hotel-at-home trend.
Bed-centrepiece chosen, attention can move to your linen. As Sheridan recognises:
“better sheets mean better sleep.” Invest in high thread count linen, weighted
fabrics and signature luxury touches. Sheridan’s Masterson range promotes a
sense of comfort from its 1200 count superior long-staple cotton and crisp white
colour, and a sense of luxury from its soft feel, hotel weight and sateen yarns.
Whilst Caprice’s newly launched range, which is exclusive to Next, offers luxury
embellishments and a high-end feel.
