LAUNCH DREAMLAND’S HI TIDE FESTIVAL
Norman Cook (aka Fatboy Slim) and Madness frontman Suggs arrived at the Margate seafront
in an ice-cream van on the 20th January to launch this summers’ Hi Tide Festival and give
away 100 free weekend tickets and ice creams to lucky members of the public.
A highlight of Dreamland’s 100th birthday celebrations, Hi Tide will see the UK’s most loved
DJ, Fatboy Slim bring his full DJ stage extravaganza to Margate on Saturday 4th July; whilst
on Sunday 5th July, purveyors of quality music since 1979, the legendary Madness will bring
the festival to a close.
Hi Tide will have two separate stages across the 15,000 capacity amusement park, with live
artists, DJs and thrilling rides giving guests all the fun of the fair in an incredible festival setting,
with day or weekend admission tickets also including unlimited rides.
Tickets go on sale at hi-tidefestival.com at 9am on Friday 31st January.
HORROR FEATURE FILM THE LAST RITE
SHOOTS IN KENT
Nocturnal Pictures owner and director of The
Last Rite, Leroy Kincaide has just wrapped
principle photography on his debut horror
feature film which was shot entirely on locations
in Kent.
The Last Rite is a supernatural horror which
is inspired by true events, it follows a medical
student suffering from sleep paralysis who
becomes plagued by a demonic entity after she
moves in with her boyfriend. It’s taken Nocturnal
Pictures a year from development to wrapping
on principle photography last year, and now
the movie is currently in post-production till
Summer 2020 when it will hit the Festival circuit
worldwide Autumn 2020.
With the filmmakers being based in Kent, it made the idea of shooting the movie in their
local area not only appealing but a perfect fit for the story and its setting.
In total The Last Rite shot in 14 different Kent locations, over 37 days. Locations ranged
from Eastwell Manor Hotel in Ashford to Kangaroo Court Coffee House in Chatham, along
with various other locations in surrounding areas.

Opening on the former EAT site in Whitefriars Square, The
Real Eating Company serves no nonsense, modestly priced,

Whilst taking over the former Kent Reliance unit in Rose
Lane is award-winning chocolate brownies franchise, Love
Brownies Café, in its ninth UK opening.
All of the Love Brownies range are gluten-free and come in
a variety of inspired flavours including salted caramel, double
chocolate, morello cherry, and orange and raspberry; there
are also a range of vegan options available, as well as coffee
and a breakfast and lunch menu.
Love Brownies Canterbury’s owner, Dildar Bhangu, said: “We
are so excited to have opened our doors and welcome the
people of Canterbury to our café.
