Offering a variety of scholarships to students from Year 7 to 12, Kent College recognises and rewards outstanding ability to talented students within these key areas: • Academic • IB (Year 12) • Art • Design (Years 9 and 12) • Drama • Music • Sport 136 Students can apply to be a Kent College Scholar in either Year 7 (age 11+), 9 (age 13+) or 12 (age 16+). So whether your child dreams of being the next England hockey player or playing with the London Philharmonic Orchestra, students are offered one- to-one tuition to nurture their particular area of excellence and provide the key to their future. Each scholarship offered is based on an assessment relative to the scholarship and also an interview. Applicants will also be required to show a portfolio or take part in a sporting, musical or dramatic performance to earn a place as a Kent College Scholar. David Lamper is the executive head at Kent College and has been with the school for over 13 years now. "Kent College is one of the mostexciting and well-respected schools in the country and that's the reason I wanted to come here." Dr Lamper is immensely proud of the scholarship programmes on offer as they attract high levels of talented students to the school. Most scholarship awards are between 10-20% though exceptionally talented students can be offered up to 50% of tuition fees. For entry in September 2020, Year 7 scholarship assessments take place from January 21st to the 24th. The closing date for applications for Years 9 and 12 entry is 1st of February 2020. Years 9 and 12 Academic, Art, Design, Drama, Music and Sport scholarship assessments and interviews will take place from Tuesday 25th of February to Thursday the 27th of February.
