Conscious of ageing and determined to address my
lacklustre skin, (and of course to fully investigate the
meteoric rise of accessible aesthetic treatments), I
was both excited and slightly apprehensive about
undergoing the HydraFacial treatment.

I am that person who has the red-blotchy-face flare-
up after a ‘facial’ (using that term loosely based on
my new found aesthetic knowledge) on a spa day;
the one who steadfastly misunderstands (or simply
ignores) the at-home skin-care principles; and who

comfort zone, I was immediately and warmly greeted
by Monique who after offers of tea, coffee and biscuits
introduced me to Charlotte Thomas, Elite’s senior
Forms complete on an ipad, the results were not
only immediately updated to the clinic’s client system,
but also - and reassuring - instantly analysed by the
