This Christmas Hever Castle will be taking you on a magical journey down the
rabbit hole and into the enchanting world of Alice in Wonderland. During the
day you will be met with beautifully decorated castle rooms, welcoming log fires
and twinkling Christmas trees. Outside in the grounds follow the whimsical Alice
in a Christmas Wonderland themed interactive trail and wander through the
illuminated gardens as dusk falls. Bring the children to see Father Christmas at
Hever Castle, enjoy relaxed Christmas shopping in the gift shops, and sample
delicious festive food in the restaurants. Join in the family swashbuckling adventure as soap star Steve McFadden leads
the cast as villainous Captain Hook, in this year’s fairy tale fun-filled pantomime,
Peter Pan. With jaw-dropping flying and special effects, and barrel-loads of laughter
from Andy Ford’s Mr Smee, the show promises just the right sprinkling of fairy
dust magic this Christmas.

Mr Charles Dickens Presents A Christmas Carol // 27 Nov
Actor John O’Connor delightfully recreates Dickens’ famous performance of his
best-loved ghost story. A Christmas Carol was the first public reading Charles
Dickens gave of his own work. He enacted it over 150 times and the effect on
the public was phenomenal. ‘The success was most wonderful and prodigious
– perfectly overwhelming and astounding altogether!’ he said after the first night.
This Christmas, you can experience what it must have been like to be in the
audience! Come and enjoy a seasonal treat in the spirit of Christmas past, present
and future.

Christmas Wreath Making at Bore Place // 28 Nov
Using resources sourced from the grounds at Bore Place, you will learn simple
techniques to combine natural and found materials into a unique Christmas
decoration. No previous experience or knowledge is necessary. There will be tea,
coffee and mince pies, and a light lunch to finish the workshop.

Sheerness Lantern Parade
and Christmas Lights Switch On // 30 Nov
A day of events run by Sheerness Town Team culminating in the switch on of
the town’s Christmas lights display. The High Street and The Broadway will
also host craft stalls, children's rides, street entertainment, the annual Santa
saunter (run by The Rotary Club of Minster), and the ever popular Big Fish Arts
"Lantern Parade”.

Make the most of the winter evenings with an enchanted experience of light,
colour and sound, as the award-winning gardens of Walmer Castle are transformed
into an illuminated world. Delight in a serene and enchanting trail featuring
tunnels and pathways of twinkling light, and see the grounds burst to life in
remarkable, unexpected ways. Wind your way through the Queen Mother’s
Garden and Woodland Walk toward the new historic glen, spotting dancing
fairies flitting among the leaves, and meeting wise old talking trees along the way.
After enjoying the trail, try your luck at fairground rides and games, or pose for
a family picture in front of the strikingly lit Broadwalk. There will be plenty to
enjoy besides – from mince pies, mulled wine and toasting marshm allows, to
Christmas shopping and heritage inspired gifts.
