MAIDSTONE BASED MUM LAUNCHES
NEW TURTLE TOTS SWIM CLASSES
A mum of two from Maidstone
has taken on a splashing new
challenge by bringing Turtle
Tots’ award-winning baby
swimming classes to Maidstone
and East Kent for the first time.
Jo Weighill, who lives in Kings
Hill with her young family, will
be launching Turtle Tots
Maidstone & East Kent this
month to bring Turtle Tots
specialist baby and toddler
swimming lesson programme to
young learners aged from birth
to 4 years. The award-winning
programme uniquely focuses on
teaching babies and young children how to swim and be water confident in
a fun, supportive environment.
Jo says: “As a parent, I know first-hand how important it is to teach your child
how to swim and to be water confident, and with Turtle Tots it’s such a fun
child-led teaching programme. It has been specifically created to help little
ones gain vital life skills in a friendly, warm environment, and at a pace that
is right for them, in a gentle progressive way.”
Turtle Tots classes will start in St Katherine’s Primary School in Snodland
this month.

KENT LIFE INTRODUCES
‘EXPERIENCE CHRISTMAS DAY’ FOR
CHILDREN WITH ADDITIONAL NEEDS
Kent Life Heritage Farm Park has introduced a special ‘Experience
Christmas Day’ for 2019 for children with additional needs, such as autism
and other sensory difficulties, on Thursday 19 December 2019.
Designed to give families the opportunity to meet Father Christmas in a calmer
environment, there are plans to have quieter music, low lighting and smaller
group sizes, to help reduce sensory overload and create an experience that is
accessible for all.
Says Kent Life general manager Natalie Cox, "We all get caught up in the
hubbub of the festive season and don't always appreciate how much of a
challenge it can be for children with additional needs. At Kent Life, we see
what a wonderful effect our farm animals have on certain children and wanted
to create a similar sense of well-being at our popular Christmas Experience."
Tickets for Thursday 19 December can only be booked by calling Kent Life
on 01622 763936.
