WELCOME
Hooray for October! A gloriously crisp
and cosy month characterised by chunky-
knit jumpers, darker nights spent cuddled
up on the sofa eating dinner on your lap,
and a particular favourite of mine, that
wonderful seasonal switch of palate, that
sees you opt for a bold glass of red over a
cold glass of white. If you’re partial to the
odd glass of red, but aren’t quite recipe-
ready for autumn’s bounty of warming,
satisfying ingredients, head to p102 for
our special feature on the best curries in
Kent and ease yourself in – let someone
else inspire you with their culinary
creativity and you can take away some
food for thought.
October may well herald the drawing in
of nights, but there’s so much to do across
Kent that celebrates this shift and the
comforting crunch of colourful leaves
underfoot that it brings. Start from p21
