NEWS BE A PART OF BROADWITCH HAUNTFEST 2019 FINALISTS ANNOUNCED FOR GO TO PLACES KENT TOURISM AWARDS 2019 Over 180 applications were received from tourism businesses across the county and have been considered by an independent panel of judges. The selected finalists are now in the hands of mystery shopping judges to determine the winners who will be announced at a ceremony later this year. The winning businesses will then also be eligible to proceed to the national awards from VisitEngland. The Kent Tourism Awards scheme, now in its third year, was devised by destination management organisation Go To Places – who deliver Visit Kent. This year, the Awards programme aligns with the recently refreshed Visit England National Tourism Awards. The new format reflects innovations across England’s tourism industry including the impact of digital technology, the growing demand for experienced-based travel and tailoring tourism products and services that cater for international visitors whilst celebrating quality, innovation and best practice. As part of Broadditch Farm’s efforts to raise money for local charity, ellenor, who do an amazing job supporting families facing terminal illness, they are offering the following to the highest bidder via private bids: • You and a friend will have your character makeup done by a member of Broadditch’s makeup team. • You will join one or more of the 'scream team' for an hour in one of the five Haunts where you will experience the thrill of scaring members of the visiting public. • You will then receive two '666' wristbands which will give you unlimited access to all five Haunts on the same night after you have finished acting. • Finally, to finish your evening, you will be given a food voucher to use at any of the food vendors on site, it's your choice!
