FAIR-TRADE ARTISAN COFFEE AT
BLOSS
OPENED IN MARCH THIS YEAR, BLOSS IS ASHFORD’S
NEW COFFEE ROASTERS. JOEL, EMMA AND DAN
ROAST, BREW AND SELL COFFEE INSIDE THEIR
ROASTERY IN KINGSNORTH WITH A SHARED DESIRE
TO IMPROVE THE TOWN’S COFFEE EXPERIENCE.
Sharing the story of coffee from
farmer to consumer with the end
goal of creating a generational
impact for the farmers they export
their coffee from, Bloss, which
roughly translates as ‘even just a
small amount can bring great
flavour’, sources its beans from
Thailand where the co-founder
currently lives working alongside
the farmers who grow them. This
is how they’re able to guarantee
both a very high quality coffee
and also transparency as to where
their coffee comes from.
A team of five people and a
community of many more, Bloss
is working across the globe to
bring forest-friendly specialty
108
coffee to their UK roasters and
share the story of this coffee
with its customers. Coffee is a
complicated product, which when
handled well produces complex
flavours and a very satisfying
experience, which is why Bloss
select their coffees and their
methods of roasting to tailor an
authentic customer-focused coffee
experience.
