THIS YEAR, THE SOCIETY CELEBRATES ITS 90th SHOW AND MARKS THE OCCASION WITH
THE INTERNATIONAL DZHIGITOVKA SHOW PUTTING ON A BREATHTAKING PERFORMANCE
AS THE MAIN RING ATTRACTION. THE BRITISH DZHIGITOVKA TEAM, JOINED BY CURRENT
WORLD CHAMPION SERGEY MURUGOV, WILL TAKE TO ANDALUCIAN STUNT HORSES AS
THEY PERFORM FLAMING JUMPS, HORSEBACK ARCHERY AND HUMAN PYRAMIDS. THE
TEAM HAVE TRAINED WITH RUSSIAN COSSACKS IN THE SPECIAL STYLE OF TRICK RIDING,
OR DZHIGITOVKA, TO PUT ON A FAST-PACED DISPLAY OF STUNTS AND TRICKS.
Also new for 2019 is the Herigeas Hundus
reenactment group who take a journey back through
time to bring the Anglo Saxons back to life in the
Woodland Area. They join old favourites in the
show’s entertainment lineup including The Sheep
Show, birds of prey, pole climbing and live music.
Retail stands, food halls and wine tents offer plenty
of shopping opportunities from some of Kent’s top
producers, and activities from K9 Aqua Sports means
there is something for your dog too. If you’re bringing
young children, make sure to stop by Pony Parties
and Tractor Ted for free pony rides and a go on the
Tractor Ted bouncy castle.
