Besides the obvious, what made you choose Italy for
your food holiday escapes?
I have been in love with Italy for over 20 years. It was a happy
coincidence that I fell in love and married an Italian girl. In
my opinion, it is the best cuisine in the world. Its beautiful
simplicity born out of the necessity of poverty is genius. Where
would we be now without pasta or pizza? Every region is
different, it wasn’t even a united country until the late 19th
century. Consider for a moment the different foods: risotto,
parma ham, bruschetta, balsamic, Parmigiano-Reggiano –
the list is endless.
