MOTHER’SDAY
GIVE MUM WHAT SHE DESERVES CONT.
MAKE A HOME-COOKED
MEAL (AND WASH UP!)
Whether you use the morning to prepare
a classic breakfast in bed, opt for an
extravagant brunch or afternoon tea,
or simply all join in to create a family-
favourite meal, take the hassle away
from mum, not only by cooking, but by
cleaning up afterwards too!
BE A HOUSE FAIRY CLEAN THE CAR
Believe it or not, the washing up fairy, the housework fairy,
the washing fairy, the room tidying fairy, the toy-putter-
awayer fairy – shock horror – does not exist! So, for at
least a day (but also as a conscious effort from this day
forth), aim to be a house fairy too. Take over the chores,
clean the house, tidy up, put things away, do the shopping,
make the packed lunches, cook the dinner or do whatever
else falls into the realms of your current Mum House Fairy
incarnation. If you don’t live with your mum, pop over
and carry out the chores anyway, pick up some shopping,
aid with a mass spring-clean clearout and add in any DIY
that’s needed. Remember sharing is caring. Cars of mums can harbour the most horrific finds, from
baby milk or mysterious orange stains (why are they always
orange?), a million and one raisins (where do they even
come from?), or simply an assortment of child paraphernalia,
bottles, and bits of paper that accumulate like a well
intentioned recycling plant. Surprise mum by clearing it
out and cleaning it up, and give her the wheels she’s
dreamed of, ready for the week ahead.
