MOTHER’SDAY
GIVE MUM WHAT SHE DESERVES CONT.
GIVE HER A LAY IN GET A FAMILY PICTURE
Whether the night has been full of night feeds, restless
toddlers, or general child-related (or otherwise) angst,
there is no better reward than an extra few minutes
of uninterrupted shut eye, or even just a half hour
to lay in peace. Get the children up, washed and
ready for the day leaving mum in a peaceful bedroom
sanctuary. Ask most mums and they’ll tell you that they can’t
find a decent photo of them and their much-loved
brood. All too often, mum gets forgotten as numerous
snaps of kids being wonderful kids are taken, or other
(mainly child-free) friends and relatives manage to
get Insta-worthy shots at gatherings whilst mum’s
left with a blurry selfie. So, whether it’s because they
are always the one behind the camera or just busy
being mum, make it a priority to get at least one
decent picture of mum looking lovely surrounded
by the kids.
GIVE HER ‘GET READY’ TIME
For most mums, the days start much earlier and
much more full-on, and they end up with a ‘thank
god I’m even dressed’ appearance. Afford mum some
much needed ‘get ready me time’ – sweep the kids
up and out, or use the time to prep for the day ahead
and give mum the time for a long hot shower, a blow
dry and some extra minutes to style her hair, slick
on some lippy and chose an actual outfit rather than
something from the mum-drobe.
