Multi-million selling recording artist Barbara Dickson with her accomplished
band is coming to the Hazlitt Theatre. Barbara will perform a wonderful range
of material drawing on her folk roots as well as performing globally known hits
such as “The Caravan Song”, “Another Suitcase in Another Hall” plus lots more.
An evening packed with songs from one of the finest voices you will ever hear. This event features highly talented performers from around the UK, ages 12 to
21. Many also come from Kent or London. Up to 16 musicians each given a
recital in front of distinguished judges. Results are announced and prizes given
at the end of the day for 1st (£500), 2nd (£250) and 3rd (£100). Competitors
in the past have also appeared on BBC Young Musician programmes.

Following a successful run at this year's Edinburgh Festival and his BBC Radio
4 series (“Uplifting stuff,” The Observer), see comedian Nick Revell perform a
collection of surreal, satirical and autobiographical stories, including “Vladimir
Putin’s Bottom Is Missing”, “Clash of The Hipster Shamans” and “Broken
Dream Catcher”. Join in with a tour to find out more about the State and Battlement Bedrooms
at Leeds Castle, which are not open to the public. See the rooms preferred by
King Edward VIII and Mrs Simpson during their stays, and more recently by
Pavarotti and Cliff Richard. These truly magnificent rooms are not to be missed.
