IN ASSOCIATION WITH EDUCATION SUPPORT, ENCOURAGEMENT AND GUIDANCE AT BISHOP CHALLONER Life at Bishop Challoner is a seamless journey from nursery through to sixth form, and the experiences gained will have a lasting value. Our Junior School offers a safe and happy environment where children love to learn. Pupils are confident, enthusiastic and keen to make progress. Our families are supportive and visitors are always given a warm welcome. Our highly skilled teachers are dedicated to pupils’ learning and equally committed to their welfare. Teachers are fully involved in pastoral care and all are involved with extracurricular activities. Pupils can participate in a wide range of different sports and a great many after school clubs. We provide a wide and balanced curriculum that challenges and excites. Children throughout the Junior School have specialist teachers for music, sport, modern foreign languages and IT. In Years 5 & 6 we introduce Latin, and pupils in Year 6 have specialist teaching in maths and science as we prepare them for the transition into the Senior School. Again, this is made as seamless as possible as pupils are already familiar with the Senior School staff, school layout and expectations. We believe that, at Bishop Challoner, pupils are given the support, encouragement and guidance to reach their potential and be the best they can possibly be. We are a Catholic school which welcomes all faiths. We value the strength, loyalty and diversity of our school community. Mrs Barker Head of Key Stage 1 & 2 124
