SUMMER SKIN FROM HEAD TO TOE cont.
Step Four: Blitz your cellulite Step Five: Self tan
You don’t actually need a fancy scrub to help
minimise cellulite – ironically, you can slough it
away with sugar, which works as a great way to get
rid of unwanted skin cells and helps to keep skin
hydrated naturally. Combine 3tbsp of coarse ground
coffee with 3tbsp of organic sugar, 1 mashed ripe
avocado and 1tbsp of coconut oil. Put all
the ingredients in a bowl and mix to a
scrub consistency and then, using a body brush,
brush your entire body with the scrub for no less
than five minutes using firm, rhythmic strokes and
always brushing towards the heart. There’s no shame in giving your legs a gentle glow
out of a bottle to help them look their best and your
self tan will glide on for a flawless finish if you’ve
followed steps one to four. By far the best way to
apply your self tan streak free is with a tanning mitt
– once your tan is on the mitt, work it over your
legs in a circular motion taking care to go lightly
on knees and ankles. We’d recommend James
Read’s Gradual Tan – his Gradual Tan Day Tan
Body is colourless, so it won’t stain your bed or
clothes; can be used daily to build up a light colour;
and is infused with aloe vera and hyaluronic acid,
leaving skin hydrated and ensuring your tan lasts
longer and fades away evenly.
BODY BEAUTIFUL
Your summer wardrobe is in full swing, as should showing
off a sun-kissed look – minus any sun damage, of course.
Nailing glowing summer skin and maximising your radiance
isn't as simple as slapping on a bit of fake tan and hoping
for the best however, at this time of year, your skin has to
contend with breakout-inducing heat and humidity, super-
drying air con and damaging UV rays – not the best recipe
for a fresh complexion. Luckily, there's lots of easy ways you
can nurture, protect and perfect your skin during summer…
Bathe like Cleopatra
Cleopatra, the last pharaoh of ancient Egypt, was famed
throughout history for her beautiful looks and it’s rumoured
that she bathed in donkey’s milk daily for radiant skin. If you
suffer from sensitive skin that flares up using perfumed
cleanser, try using whole cow’s milk as a daily cleanser;
it’s gentle and surprisingly effective in removing excess oil
and makeup.
For a lavish soak
a la Cleopatra,
add a couple of
cups of milk to a

bath. We
