Leeds Castle presents the 40th edition of one of the most magnificent and memorable summer evenings in the Kent events calendar. Bring a picnic and be entertained by field cannons, fireworks and much loved classical music. People in their thousands have attended the stunning setting of Leeds Castle across the last 39 years to be entertained by this amazing open-air musical delight. The first concert took place in 1978, and to celebrate, along with classical favourites, the audience will be treated to a special finale including greatest hits from the 70’ s era. This special celebratory event will have a real birthday party atmosphere throughout the summer’ s afternoon and evening.

RIVERSIDE FESTIVAL 18 // 14 JUL
Join Sooty and friends for Sooty’ s 70th Anniversary Bake Off Show. They will be taking over the stage in Kent Life’ s Big Top and there promises to be all kinds of magical mayhem. Hang around after the show for a photo opportunity! Better still, these shows are included in the standard admission prices, which means you also get to experience all of the other fabulous activities on offer at Kent Life this weekend! Make sure to bring along your favourite ted and take part in the Teddy Bears’ picnic; every child visiting with their companion will receive a certificate. Take your special friend to hear a story, join in the picnic and meet Kent Life’ s‘ Teddy’. Don’ t forget to collect your Teddy Certificate from the shop during your visit!

Gravesham Riverside Festival: it’ s back for 2018 with much more on offer than ever before! With four main areas – Main Stage, Vintage, Active and Fringe – the Riverside Festival is now one of Kent’ s biggest free festivals. Nineties boyband, 911, are the headliners this year and they will be‘ Bodyshakin’ the crowd. Take a step back in time at Fort Gardens and enjoy the vintage fair, try rock climbing in the active zZone and come aboard LV21 for the Fringe Festival with aerial displays and The Greatest Showman Singalong. With loads more going on this is a great family fun filled day out.

Cherries galore at Brogdale! Celebrate all things cherry with over 400 varieties of Cherry in the National Fruit Collection Cherry Fair – packed with all manner of cherry-based entertainment including a messy cherry pie eating contest and the cherry pip spit challenge; can you break the record? Enjoy kid’ s fun and crafts, a tour of the cherry filled orchards, local produce, cooking demonstrations and a fascinating display of cherries like you’ ve never seen before.
