Bradstow is a creative and unique residential school for children between the ages of 5 & 19. It is situated in 13 acres of parkland just a few hundred metres from the sandy beaches of Broadstairs. Currently we are looking to recruit the following: FEMALE WAKING NIGHT ATTENDANT Salary £18,870 - £20,541+ 1/3 night allowance Full Time – 36.75 hours per week, all year round Permanent position The role of Waking Night Attendant involves remaining awake in order to be responsible for the supervision and care of our young people at night, particularly ensuring that night time routines follow pre-agreed strategies and procedures. The shifts for this post are from 9.30pm to 8.00am including weekends, all year round. You will be required to work 4 shifts one week and 3 the next. For this post you will need to be willing to commit to achieving Residential Childcare QCF Level 3 within 2 years of beginning employment at the school. Due to the nature of the personal care being provided, Section 7 (2) (a) of the Sex Discrimination Act 1975 applies. TEAM SUPPORT WORKER - CARE Salary £16,051 - £16,189 pa, Term time only (All year round equivalent salary: £19,315 - £19,480) Full Time - 41 hours per week, Term time only (In addition, you will be required to commit to an additional two weeks work during short term break periods if required, for which additional payment will be made) Permanent position Using your experience of working with children and young people with Additional Educational Needs and Challenging Behaviour, you will work To work alongside colleagues in the care of a group of students in a residential setting. Awareness of the needs of, and experience of working with children and young people with Learning Difficulties, Autism and Challenging Behaviour will be a distinct advantage. For this post you will need to be willing to commit to achieving Residential Childcare QCF Level 3 within 2 years of beginning employment at the school. The hours for this post include split shifts, some starts from 7.30am, some finishes at 10.00pm and weekend work. CHILDCARE SUPPORT ASSISTANT Salary £15,826 - £15,549 pa, Term time only (All year round equivalent salary: £19,043 - £19,191) Full Time - 41 hours per week, Term time only (In addition, you will be required to commit to an additional two weeks work during short term break periods if required, for which additional payment will be made) Permanent position The purpose of this role is to provide support to the residential unit where a named student, who has been identified as requiring additional support, resides during out-of-school hours. The duties will not be confined solely to the named student but also involve working with other students in the residential unit. In addition. No previous experience or qualifications are necessary for this role.
