St Edmund’s School Canterbury is delighted to present its second arts
festival this summer. The St Edmund’s Festival 2018 will run from
Wednesday 27th June to Tuesday 3rd July and is set to be another
vibrant week of entertainment for all the family with a sensational
lineup of acts from world-renowned musicians, as well as drama shows,
art workshops and much more.
The opening night concert brings to Canterbury one of the world’s
most celebrated violinists, Tasmin Little, accompanied by eminent
pianist Martin Roscoe. Saturday offers Drama Fest in the Theatre and
‘An Evening of Sondheim’ in the Festival Marquee, and Sunday begins
with a swing dance class with the KD Dance Orchestra, followed by
David Watkins’ harp recital.

Royal Overseas League Competition), the Dr Rosemary Dunn Lecture
given by Darren Henley, Chief Executive of Arts Council England, and
an exhibition of the work of Graham Clarke.

Prom On The Farm

Martha Trust are excited to bring you Prom on the Farm in the fields
of Solley’s Ice Cream Parlour in Ripple on Sunday 1st July. Enjoy this
great day out with family and friends while being entertained by a
variety of excellent local musicians with lots of activities to keep the
children entertained. You are welcome to bring a picnic and your own
drinks including alcohol but no glass is allowed. Or, choose to enjoy
food and drink from one of the onsite vendors and bars as well as
Solley’s ice cream! Tickets cost £30 for a family ticket (2 adults and up
to 3 children under 16), £12 for an adult and £5 for each child. There
will also be a limited number of gazebo plots available for an additional
£40, bookable in advance – bring your own gazebo and have a
designated spot for the day come rain or shine.
