ROMNEY MARSH WOOLS OPEN DAY // 25 MAR
Romney Marsh Wools will be opening their farm gates on Sunday 25th
March 2018 for the first annual open day in celebration of their 10th
anniversary. The family have been farming on the Romney Marsh for
at least six generations and today have a flock of 1,000 Romney ewes
as well as a small flock of Merinos. The fleeces from both are used to
create Romney Marsh Wools’ range of products. Lambing takes place
from mid-February and there will be the opportunity to meet the lambs
(and perhaps see some being born!) as well as find out more about the
sheep and life on the farm. There will be Kentish crafts, food and drink
available on the day from some specially selected producers, plus
activities for children of all ages, including the chance to have your
photo taken in a tractor and face painting.
