The beloved Herne Bay Pier will get a merry makeover ready to welcome families for festive fun this December. Every weekend, a traditional Christmas Market of stalls offering gifts, crafts, produce and more will line the pier. The pier’ s 30 permanent huts will be open too, offering everything from fashion to champagne and oysters – making this a memorable Christmas shopping experience. As added‘ wow factor’ attractions for the children, there will be a giant 12-foot snow globe, Santa ' s grotto, a magnificent supersize Christmas tree and a visit by the adorable reindeer. Entertainment will include carols, music and magic. For those wanting to experience Christmas by the sea, a visit to this spectacularly sparkly pier is just the ticket.

SAIL WITH SANTA // 2-23 DEC
Jump aboard the Jacob Marley for a mystical voyage to the North Pole. This family-friendly, fun-filled experience to visit Santa will leave your little ones really looking forward to Christmas. The experience starts as you board at Rochester Pier to sail down river towards the‘ North Pole’. Festive music and colouring will keep the kids entertained while you cruise past the sights of Rochester and Chatham Historic Dockyard. Adults can sit back, relax and enjoy a mulled wine and a mince pie while children receive a mince pie and a juice box. Upon arrival at the North Pole( Chatham Marina), the man himself will board the boat and sail with the vessel for about 20 minutes. Each child will personally receive a gift from Santa before he must leave to carry on with his Christmas preparations. Once Santa has seen all the children he will return to the North Pole and allow the boat to make its journey back to Rochester.
