EDUCATION
KENT COLLEGE – HELPING YOU REALISE YOUR POTENTIAL
THE SIXTH FORM AT KENT COLLEGE CANTERBURY OFFERS THREE MAIN PATHWAYS TO STUDY – A-LEVELS,
INTERNATIONAL BACCALAUREATE (IB), AND CAMBRIDGE TECHNICALS – AS WELL AS A HIGHLY INDIVIDUAL
APPROACH TO EACH PUPIL IN TERMS OF ACADEMIC SUPPORT AND PASTORAL CARE.
Sixth form is a key time in any teenager’s life
– with a wide spectrum of choices both in the
academic curriculum and in its extra-
curricular activities, Kent College prides itself
on offering a range of exciting possibilities for
all of its pupils.
Kent College is a leading IB World School, with
results that consistently put the school in the
top 10 in the UK. The breadth of skills fostered
in the International Baccalaureate is an
excellent preparation for higher education
and for the world of work. The school’s A-
level results are equally as impressive as its IB
scores, with the percentage of A*-B grades
consistently above those of local grammar
schools. Some students choose to combine
A-levels with Cambridge Technicals, which
offer a valuable alternative in areas such as
Business and ICT.
Whatever academic pathway students follow
in the Sixth form, small class sizes ensure that
teachers know each pupil well, allowing them
to give the individual attention that is the
hallmark of education at Kent College. This is
mirrored by the excellent pastoral system,
which is highly valued and central to the
school’s Methodist ethos. Beyond the
classroom, the extended school day at Kent
College gives every pupil the opportunity to
engage in the up to 70 clubs and societies that
are available, including the Duke of Edinburgh
award.
Their doors are always open for new families
to have a personalised tour of the school.
