There are exhibits about Margate in wartime, Roman-British history, Dr Daniel Jarvis’ Wooden Jetty of 1824 and Eugenus Birch’s Iron Jetty of 1857, alongside unique paintings, prints and engravings showing the growth of the village of ‘Meergate’ into the town of Margate.
