A HEART AT SEA
// 23 SEP
An epic folktale told on a
miniature scale.
Haunting live music and
puppets tell the story of a
boy who bottles up his
heart and throws it into
the sea. Original
songwriting is set to
stunning visuals that
revolve around a
beautifully carved chest
holding the secrets to the
story. Intricate puppets
are swept through this
wooden world as the boy
tumbles through danger to recover his missing heart. A heart-warming
tale of whales, tiny boats, sea captains and beards.
11am & 2.30pm. Price: £6 (children £5)

OH NO, IT’S THE GRUFFALO // 24 SEP
Eunice struggles to fit in. When she joins a wealthy family as their
housekeeper the very reason for her awkwardness, long hidden and
deeply buried, leads to a terrible tale of murder in cold blood – on
Valentine’s Day. Ruth Rendell’s brilliant plot unravels a lifetime of deceit
and cover-ups which, when revealed, brings a shocking revelation
almost as grizzly as murder itself.
7.30pm (Wednesday and Saturday matinees 2.30pm).
Price: £21-£33

Marriage, Rifco
Studio presents a
sparkling new
comedy by Sukh Ojla who is also from Gravesend! Polly has a reliable
husband, two bright children, a well-paid job at the council and detached
house with a double garage. She’s got it all. She may not be living the
life she dreamed of back when she was a teenager, but who does? Bali
is a successful businessman. Loving his jet set lifestyle he swore he'd
never return to the small town he grew up in. So why is he back? Is it
too late for second chances? And is love, actually, all you need? Sukh
Ojla is part of the Rifco Associate programme, set up to provide support
and guidance to British Asian artists in creating original and new work.
Pyar Actually is presented by Rifco Studio and Sukh Ojla in association
with Watford Palace Theatre.
