Regular traditional type boat trips or river tours from Sandwich
to the Roman Fort at Richbrough, short rides staying near the
town. Mini cruises up river can go as far as Fordwich. Weekly and
in summer daily trips down river towards the sea looking at the
wildlife with a very good chance of seeing Seals. Our full cruising
range covers more than half of the area that was once the Wantsum
channel. Very stable gentle progress boats.

Situated in the picturesque Guildhall town centre square with
plenty of sunny outdoor seating, the Sandwich Shop is proud
to support Sandwich Events. Profits from the Sandwich Shop
are donated to Sandwich Town – so the Annual Sandwich
Festival over the August Bank Holiday and Sandwich Arts
Week in September will receive financial backing.
Festival is over three days; August 26th to 28th and this
year also celebrates the 800th anniversary with a special
procession on Sunday 27th August. Sandwich Arts Week from
September 16th to 23rd hosts an exhibition of local artists in
St Peter’s church and has an evening event every day – from
a contemporary interpretation of The Tempest through Jazz
Club and two cinema evenings, plus poetry and more.
