QUEX PARK IS KENT ' S MOST EXCITING DAY OUT FOR ALL THE FAMILY. LOCATED 15 MINUTES WEST OF MARGATE, ESCAPE THE STRESSES OF EVERYDAY LIFE AND BE ENCHANTED BY THIS MUST- VISIT DESTINATION.
Established by John Powell- Powell, Quex Park is a historic country estate, yet, like many traditional estates, it has diversified its many redundant and outdated agricultural buildings, but has retained its beautiful Victorian splendour.
The park is now the proud home to many visitor attractions, leisure activities, bespoke retail and food and drink outlets, and offers a packed and exciting annual events calendar too with something for the whole family to enjoy.
Quex Park is best known for the award-winning Powell-Cotton Museum, and Quex House and Gardens, which offers an exciting, fun and interactive day out. You will find amazing collections, natural history galleries, a vast array of art and archaeology, one of the most impressive dioramas in Europe, and you can get hands on in‘ The Cube’, where you can handle over 400 objects.
Relax with a stroll around the beautiful gardens of Quex House, the Secret Garden Centre, or Quex Craft Village before enjoying a scrumptious afternoon tea at Mamma Feelgoods café. Then stock up with the finest locally produced food and drink from Quex Barn.
Entertain the children at Jungle Jim’ s indoor and outdoor playcentre. Challenge your family and friends to a game of paintballing or adventure golf – who’ s going to be the winner?
2016 saw the introduction of the‘ field of fun’ to the already well established Mazie Maze, and this year even more more improvements have been made to ensure a truly a-maizing day out for all the family( opens on Saturday 22nd July). The African Expedition is a cereal tease that helps bring to life the exploration of the continent by adventurer Percy Powell-Cotton, whose home was on the Quex estate. Complete the passport interactive quiz and see how much you really know about Africa. Then there’ s the Giant Tractor Maze, where visitors are challenged to find not only their way out but also to find a lost tractor, as well as take part in the brand new‘ Maize-o-poly’ interactive quiz. In addition to the two huge interactive mazes, this year there’ s a wide range of other activities for everyone to enjoy including barnyard games, a woodland adventure trail, coin-operated mini tractors, tractor rides and the only‘ Jumbo Jumper Air Pillow’ in Thanet.
Quex Park is an all-weather, all-family, all-encompassing day out at a unique community of local leisure businesses all brought together on a country estate where you can make everlasting memories every time you visit.
Entry into the park is free and each attraction has its own opening times and admission fees where applicable. More information can be found on the website – plan your next adventure at www. quexpark. co. uk.
