SCHOOL’S OUT FOR A SUPER SIX WEEKS, SO MAKE THE MOST OF IT WITH THE FAMILY
AND EXPLORE KENT’S ORIGINAL WILD ANIMAL PARK, HOME TO THE LARGEST HERD
OF AFRICAN ELEPHANTS IN THE UK, AND MORE LEOPARDS THAN ANYWHERE ELSE IN
THE COUNTY INCLUDING SNOW LEOPARDS, NORTH-CHINESE LEOPARDS AND ELUSIVE
CLOUDED LEOPARDS. WALK WITH LEMURS IN THE BEAUTIFUL, LEAFY LEMUR GARDEN

SPOT THE ADORABLE NEW LEMUR BABY TOO!
Throughout the summer, you can take part
in the Tropical Trail and follow the clues to be
in with a chance of winning a Junior Ranger
or Keeper Academy experience. Plus, the
Education Presenters will be holding fact-
packed talks, so you can discover more about
your favourite animals.
Pop into the Education Centre to make your
very own ‘sandimal’ and take part in other
crafts and activities – including mask making
– while you’re there. Plus, the popular Treetop
and Animal Adventure Challenges will be open
every day, so you can test your skills on the
rope bridges, climbing walls, bird-nest swings,
tyre bridges and zip wires – perfect for young
and old adventurers alike.
Every weekend throughout the summer
break, you’ll be able to discover more about
some of the most popular animals and, for a
small donation to The Aspinall Foundation,
you’ll be able to take part in themed games to
be in with a chance of winning a Howletts
goody bag.

Howletts is a conservation charity and a
breeding sanctuary for some of the most rare
and endangered species in the world. Working
with The Aspinall Foundation, Howletts aims
to return animals born at the park to protected
areas of their natural habitat. With over 400
animals across 50 individual species, as well
as plenty of new births and arrivals, visitors
have the opportunity to see animals at
Howletts that they won’t see anywhere else
in Kent.
One of the county’s most popular visitor
attractions, Howletts has conservation at its
heart. Visitor monies help fund the park’s vital
work with endangered species and enable the
park to return animals to protected areas of
the wild in collaboration with The Aspinall
Foundation. Set in 100 acres of historic
parkland, there are wooded walkways and
pathways to explore and fun and fact-filled
animal talks taking place at various times
throughout the year, so there’s plenty for all
ages to discover and enjoy.
The super summer celebrations will run from
Saturday 22nd July to Sunday 3rd September
2017. Times of talks, feeds and activities will
be displayed on information boards around
the park, whilst itineraries are free to collect
from the gatehouse. For further information
including opening times, special events and
to save 10 per cent on day entry tickets, please
