How do you raise money? There are three main sources of income to the Society, however they can be condensed into two main areas. The first being the Kent County Show which provides receipt from stand holders, sponsorship and visitor entrance fee. Secondly is the commercial arm of the Society, the Kent Event Centre which manages site rentals to accommodate events from Elton John and Madness to the Kent Garden Show and anything in between. Thirdly, we have a membership which have an interest in the Society and support us with an annual fee, their time and enthusiasm. How important are volunteers to you, and what sort of things do they do? How can our readers get involved? Our volunteers are crucial to everything we do. They are our source of knowledge and ideas throughout the year and assist in manning numerous roles at our Shows. With only four full time members of staff working on the charitable activities of the Society, the 250 volunteers we have are the only way we could continue to run the Shows. If you have a passion for any of the areas at the Kent County Show or want to get involved with any of our other projects, please get in touch. What does the future hold? We are looking forward to the 88th Kent County Show which will be held on 7th, 8th, and 9th July 2017 and the 15th Living Land which will be held in May 2018. We will continue to support British farming through supporting areas for local educational groups at the Kent County Show and future generations through direct funding. www.kentshowground.co.uk PRE-BOOK YOUR TICKETS 017 FOR 2 NEW T THE MEE URS SA DINO Ask about our Easter and summer Holiday Clubs! • Safe, structured fun with qualified staff. • Active and creative programme for 7 - 11 year olds. • Optional academic booster for Kent Test prep and more.
