The birds are singing , the sun is shining , and it ’ s the month of our annual food issue – what a time to be alive ! If you ’ re a regular reader of insideKENT , you know we love our food , and it ’ s never more evident than each June when we cover the best restaurants , recipes , and what makes Kent such a superb foodie destination .

This month , I followed up with the chefs from our May issue ’ s “ The Art of Food ” feature , who offered some of their favourite fresh and local recipes to try at home – check it out on page 73 . The roast duck breast looks especially tasty .
Continuing on with the food theme , and , ahem , strictly for research , I ventured out to Tuscany for a quick break last month , staying at the spectacular Hotel Le Fontanelle . The wine , the meals , the scenery – everything was perfection .
