Quarterhouse, Folkestone
Folkestone Quarterhouse is a Creative
Foundation project, run alongside the
Folkestone Triennial, Folkestone Artworks,
Creative Quarter and home venue for
Folkestone Book Festival. Quarterhouse shares
the Creative Foundation's dedication to
enabling the regeneration of Folkestone
through creative activity. It is based moments
from the harbour, at the bottom of The Old
High Street, and is run by a passionate and
knowledgeable team made up of both
permanent and casual staff.

Leas Cliff Hall, Folkestone
With a seating capacity of 900 and standing
capacity of 1,500, The Leas Cliff Hall is a
fantastic venue for performances and events
of all kinds. Located overlooking the English
Channel on the coast of Folkestone, the venue
hosts a variety of shows including comedy,
ballet, live music and even wrestling. Opened
on 13th July 1927 by Prince Henry, Duke of
Gloucester, the opening concert was
performed by the Folkestone Municipal
Orchestra by 1,000 people, and has remained
as popular a venue ever since. pantomime, tours, concerts and a large
community programme including fund
raising events for local charities.

Sarah Thorne Theatre, Broadstairs
The Sarah Thorne Theatre Company CIC was
formed in 2007 to reopen the disused theatre
at Hilderstone, Broadstairs. This privately
funded theatre is managed by two professional
directors. The patrons are Judi Dench, David
Suchet and Julian Fellowes. The theatre is
recognised as an important amenity for the
area by the Broadstairs Town Council, and the
all year round programme of events includes
the only professional Summer Repertory

The Gulbenkian is the theatre associated with
the arts centre at the University of Kent in
Canterbury. It offers exciting, engaging,
innovative acts and arts for the general public,
and for the students at the university. One of
its main aims is to bring art to the people, and
to foster confidence and empowerment in
young people.
Gulbenkian consists of a 340-seat theatre,
a 300-seat cinema and a café in which more
informal, cabaret style acts perform. It can
host up to 1,000 different events each year,
and is renowned for its diversity.
