NEWS FROM SEVENOAKS SCHOOL
NEW APPOINTMENT –
HEAD OF ENTREPRENEURSHIP
Sevenoaks School, one of the world’s leading IB schools, has appointed a Head of
Entrepreneurship, Julie Redding, to work full time at the school, and to co-lead
the new Institute of Service and Entrepreneurship. Julie is an experienced
entrepreneur, and has run businesses in Chile and South America for over 10 years.
Students are enjoying a new varied programme of innovative activities, providing
them with new commercial skillsets, opportunities to create business ideas and
chances to present to prospective investors. In the last few months students have
launched business plan competitions, visited the Microsoft Accelerator, run a TedX
Youth event, participated in an entrepreneurial film-making competition and
enjoyed a number of social enterprise events.
External entrepreneurial speakers, including Karren Brady from The Apprentice,
are also speaking at the school about their experiences, the highs and lows of being
an entrepreneur, and starting a business.
ART EXHIBITION –
OXO TOWER WHARF
Sevenoaks School’s Upper Sixth IB
artists recently exhibited their work in
London at the Oxo Bargehouse, a large
gallery space in a central location on
the Thames.
Work ranging from enormous

and independence of the students’
creativity. This year’s cohort have
collected an impressive range of offers
for creative degree courses after
