Wine’ s lovely, there’ s no question about that, but why not mix it up this Easter and introduce a couple of easy to make and even easier to drink cocktails into the mix? We’ ve found a lovely little gin number that can be sipped throughout your meal and a delicious vodka‘ nightcap’ to end proceedings.
BULLDOG TOM COLLINS
With its unique bold, black bottle and distinctive botanical flavour, BULLDOG is a modern gin that has been quietly causing a stir on the gin scene. Made using only the best quality British wheat and water, BULLDOG starts as a triple-distilled, neutral grain spirit and is then distilled once more
INGREDIENTS:
• 60ml BULLDOG Gin
• 30ml freshly pressed lemon juice
• 30ml sugar syrup
• 90ml premium soda water
METHOD:
1. Shake the gin, lemon juice and syrup together with ice then pour over cubed ice in a Collins glass.
2. Top with premium soda water and garnish with a lemon twist and a maraschino cherry.
THE NIGHTCAP
This velvety smooth vodka is as untouched as possible. Made from the highest quality peaches and cream corn, distilled four times into a neutral grain spirit and blended with pristine water from Newfoundland, Canada, the liquid is then filtered seven times, of which three are through layers of semi-precious crystals known as Herkimer diamonds.
INGREDIENTS:
• 50ml Crystal Head vodka
• 1 freshly brewed expresso shot
METHOD:
1. expresso into a shaker filled with ice. Shake vigorously to create froth then strain into a martini glass.
