Happy as can be at this year’ s Taste of Kent Awards( p99)
April is one of my favourite months of the year, for lots of different reasons: half term events, nice weather( sometimes), and most importantly, Easter chocolate.
Last month, I had the privilege of attending the 2017 Taste of Kent Awards – an annual event to celebrate the‘ cream of the crop’ of Kent’ s food and drink. Besides being a great excuse to dress up in my fanciest garb and do my nails, we enjoyed a three-course gourmet dinner, and loved seeing the winners take to the stage to accept their much-deserved awards. As we’ re all in such spring-y moods, we thought there’ s no better month to celebrate the great outdoor sport of golf than April( p47). The feature has inspired me enough to finally make plans for my first-ever golf outing at Etchinghill this weekend. Wish me luck!
