The Season Opening Race Evening at Brighton Racecourse on Easter Saturday 15th April is the day to start your social calendar off with a bang! So with fabulous food and drink, great entertainment, easy access via public transport including a free shuttle bus from Brighton station, free parking and affordable tickets, an evening at the races on the 15th of April makes for unbeatable fun and a great excuse to get your friends together for a day out. Easter Saturday will see the annual Hat Festival take place in Faversham, with the highlight being the Hat Parade. Starting at The Hat Shop in West Street it winds its way through the town centre at 11 o’ clock. It will be led by Jack Spratt, the Town Crier, and accompanied by a group of wandering minstrels followed by hundreds of adults, children and pets in a wonderful array of hats. Some will be competing for one of the best hat prizes on offer but many others are there just to enjoy the occasion. The competition categories will be judged at the Alexander Centre – the destination of the parade.
