ST LAWRENCE COLLEGE SIXTH FORM
St Lawrence College in Ramsgate is seeing its popularity grow, including an increased interest in its Sixth Form for local day pupils. The school offers a wide range of subjects at A Level and option blocks are created from pupils ' lists of preferred subject choices to ensure that as many pupils as possible are timetabled with their chosen subjects.

This year’ s A Level results were the best for many years, with the percentage of A *-B grades increasing by over 10 %. Pupils were successful in gaining entry into a broad range of courses, including medicine, engineering, architecture, music, drama, history of art, modern languages and economics, at the top universities in the country such as Oxford, Durham, St Andrews, Bristol, Warwick and The Courtauld Institute of Art.
However, the Sixth Form at St Lawrence College is not just about academic results, but also about preparing pupils for life beyond school. The school’ s ACE( Academic and Cultural Enrichment) Programme includes Careers and PSHE components and pupils are also addressed by visiting speakers on a variety of topics. Pupils are able to enjoy a vast range of extra-curricular activities, including the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme, and there are many leadership opportunities available.

Sixth Form academic scholarships, worth up to 50 % off the fees, are awarded to students who show the greatest academic potential and perform well in the Sixth Form Scholarship Examination. Scholarships are also awarded into the Sixth Form for pupils with outstanding ability in art, drama, music or sport.
