Be warned – this is a very immersive little hobby to get into … Our arcade machine now resides on a giant flat screen TV, and has a real arcade controller complete with nobbly joysticks and big bashable buttons and is usually being played on by the kids and all their friends.
A smarter dumb TV!
By adding a Raspberry Pi to your old( er)-school television, you’ ll be able to turn it into a pseudo- SmartTV very cheaply, quickly and easily. There are a range of operating systems for the Pi – some more complex to install and use than others – but it doesn’ t take a degree in rocket science to install Raspian or Noobs, and then enable web browsing, media playing etc in the front room. You could even use a wireless keyboard and mouse, so you can surf in style from your sofa.
