“ Oh, the weather outside is frightful …” Too early? No, it’ s never too early for some Christmas cheer. The insideKENT team starts planning for the arrival of Santa long before you hear“ Fairytale of New York” on the radio( think baubles and tinsel in July at the iK office). We’ re always asked,‘ Aren’ t you sick of Christmas yet?’ and the unanimous answer is a resounding,‘ Nope!’
So, to celebrate all things happy and festive, we’ ve packed this issue full of jingly-jangly goodies, from Kent’ s top winter fairs, parties and events( p41); to hosting the perfect Christmas party( p48); to the most spectacular Santa’ s grottos in the Garden of England( p105).
And although it’ s not exactly a Christmas-only treat, enjoying a Sunday roast in a cosy restaurant will definitely get you into the spirit. A roaring fire, a glass of red wine, conversation with friends and family and a hearty, delicious meal – sounds like Christmas bliss to me!
