Whitehead Monckton is delighted to announce they are embarking on a new development through their acquisition of an established law firm in the heart of London Docklands. Docklands Solicitors, as its name suggests, provides residential and commercial property services plus family advice to the local community. They plan to continue providing these services together with offering our full range of corporate and individual services from the Dockland Solicitors offices in Canary Wharf.
Alex Bak and Katie Broadfield, two of Whitehead Monckton’ s experienced lawyers, will be relocating from Maidstone to the Canary Wharf office from October onwards when the deal will be completed with a number of other members of the team, providing support as needed.
With such a strong name associated with the area, they will initially retain the Docklands Solicitors brand, with new material and website produced to reflect the new ownership by Whitehead Monckton.

Tonbridge gym, The Strength & Conditioning Institute( The SCI), are celebrating being shortlisted for three prestigious industry awards. The SCI has been shortlisted in the Regional Gym of the Year( South), the Customer Service Award, and Gym Team of the Year categories in the 2016 National Fitness Awards, which recognise excellence, innovation and achievement in the fitness sector.
The national awards are organised by Workout Magazine, with support from ServiceSport. The SCI has been selected alongside up to six other finalists in each category, following a tough judging process which whittled down hundreds of entries. A site visit and interview is the next stage of the process, and overall winners will be revealed at a glittering awards ceremony on 2nd December.
Fitness industry pace-setters The SCI were also recognised by the National Fitness Awards in 2015, being named the top functional training gym in the whole of the UK. 2016 has been another standout year for the business, who have seen their membership continue to soar since opening their new worldclass facility in October 2015, and have recently launched a groundbreaking online service, The SmartCoach – www. thesmartcoach. co.
