Kent Life Heritage Farm Park’ s operations manager has been promoted to general manager of the award-winning attraction.
Natalie Kirk, 28, first joined Kent Life, near Maidstone, in June 2011 as an administrator providing maternity cover. She quickly excelled and, just 11 months later, became the attraction’ s events duty manager, planning and managing 25 events a year – including Kent Life’ s hugely popular annual Hops‘ n’ Harvest Beer Festival and Bonfire and Fireworks Spectacular.
Last July, Natalie, who was nominated for a Tourism South East Unsung Hero Award 2015, was promoted to operations manager, with overall responsibility for health and safety across Kent Life’ s 28- acre site as well as managing the attraction’ s team.
Mike Stickland, managing director of Planning Solutions, which operates Kent Life, says:“ Natalie is very hard working, driven and committed to making Kent Life the best it can be. She’ s a great team motivator and the perfect person to build on the attraction’ s success.”
There is something for all ages and generations at Kent Life. Kids can go wild in the outdoor adventure play area or soft indoor play barn, as well as enjoy donkey rides, a pottery studio, junior electric quad bikes, tractor rides, dressing up, stilt walking and more.
Set in 28 acres of glorious countryside, Kent Life is also a real working farm, so there are plenty of animals to see including pigs, sheep, ducks, goats and alpacas. Young visitors can even snuggle up to the smaller farmyard friends in Cuddle Corner. The attraction also has special events all year round so there’ s always something to do, whatever the weather.
