Flyaway Katie
// 30 Jan
By the makers of
Shoe Baby, Penguin
and Arthur’s Dream
Boat, this is Long
Nose Puppets’ new
Flyaway Katie!
Flyaway Katie is an
inspiring flight of fancy
about the power of
imagination based on
the popular children's
book by Polly Dunbar with music by Tom Gray of Gomez.
Katie is all alone and feeling grey. The birds in the picture on her wall
look so colourful – if only Katie could be as bright as them, who knows
what might happen? The show is bursting with colour, movement and
surprises, with puppets of varying scales acting the story. The show is
aimed at 2-7 year olds and will be 40 minutes plus 15 minutes ‘meet the
puppets’.
2.30pm. Price: £6 (children under 12 £5).

See The Marlowe’s stage transformed into an ice rink for this spectacular
show. Combining ice dance and the world of cirque, this is a thrilling and
breathtaking experience for all the family filled with colour, music, incredible
costumes and jaw-dropping acrobatics. Evolution brings to life the story
of our planet, man’s evolution and a journey to the limits of technology as
a stunning ice spectacular. If the creation of the world was fire and ice, then
so will it be with Cirque de Glace.
