Kid Carpet uses Casio keyboards, cardboard, Sellotape and shouting to
make peculiar punk folk disco music. After releasing three albums and
performing both nationally and internationally Kid Carpet has begun making
theatre, composing music for others and has also presented a TV programme
for the BBC. A champion of the lost and broken, Kid Carpet likes to use
found sounds and objects which have been left behind by popular culture
and attempts to turn them into superheroes, repackaging them so that their
simple beauty and innocence can be rediscovered.

Beating McEnroe

1981. Wimbledon. Bjorn Borg and

a head. A six-year-old boy watches
and learns. Beating McEnroe is a
new solo show from awardwinning theatre maker Jamie
Wood about a pivotal moment.

on in his life. Beating McEnroe was shortlisted for a Total Theatre Award
for Innovation, Experimentation and Playing with Form in 2013, won the
From Edinburgh with Love award from the Oval House, and in 2014, won
