ARCHITECTURAL LANDMARKS: A GRADE II-LISTED SANDSTONE MANSION BUILT

This luxury hotel houses a plethora of features,
including unique meeting and events spaces; a
heated cigar shack; an outstanding al fresco
dining area and garden terrace with wonderful
views out across Calverley Park; and, most
importantly, 34 timelessly styled bedrooms, all
of which have been sensitively converted to retain
many original features and complemented
beautifully with antiques and memorabilia.
rooms complete with stunning art adorning the
walls and a plethora of quirky features?
Trademark Bistro
At the heart of the hotel is Bistro du Vin, a classic,
French styled, elegant and informal setting for
lunch, dinner, to meet, celebrate or simply pass
the time. As a large chain, it would be all too
easy to forget the two-man operation or the
centuries-old family-run business for the sake of
lucrative profit, but that’s just not how it operates.
Open seven days a week, and under the tutelage
of head chef, Jimmy Worrall, the bistro creates
stunning classic food from the finest local produce
that Kent has to offer.
Havana is a 1950's Cuban-style room, which is
flooded with natural daylight through the French
doors that lead out to the garden. It can seat up
to 36 guests.
Private Dining
If you’re looking for something a little more private,
whether with colleagues, friends or family then
why not book one of the hotel's private dining
Ruinart is a large versatile room seating up to
84 guests and has drawn its decorative influences
from the famous mirrored room in the Palace of
Versailles. Add views over the hotel gardens and
you have the perfect place to catch up with
friends or family.
Mouton Rothschild is the smallest of the rooms,
and like Havana also benefits from an abundance
of natural daylight, with French doors that can
be opened out onto its own veranda.
Wine
The reason it is here. Without wine, there is no
'du Vin', but the team never wants you to be
mystified by the jargon and mumbo-jumbo that
often surrounds the appreciation of wine.
Throughout the year, Hotel du Vin will be hosting
a series of captivating wine dinners from around
