Weekend, Macknade Fine Foods
is hosting a medieval supper to
showcase the wonders of
medieval cooking – with a
Macknade twist. The four-course
supper will take diners on a
journey through the medieval
period of the middle ages, looking at the flavours, ingredients and methods
used and enjoyed by people at the time, both rich and poor. In true medieval
style, seating will be set up like a banquet, and there will be some suitably
medieval music to enjoy alongside canapés and welcome drinks.

gardens at Hever Castle at the height
of their summer beauty. The event is
a must for plant and garden lovers, with
one of the finest displays of roses and
summer blooms in the Garden of
England. Join the gardeners for free
daily garden tours to find out more about the award-winning garden’s
fascinating history and many of the plants grown throughout the grounds.
Tours last between 45 minutes to one hour and finish beside the gardeners’
greenhouse near the Courtyard Shop, where many of the plants in the
grounds are available for sale.

Faversham Medieval

The annual festival of early music, now in its
53rd year, combines outstanding musical
performance with a beautiful rural setting
overlooking the Stour Valley. Festivalgoers
can enjoy a drink before or after the concerts
in the festival marquee, or stay and have
supper before returning to the candle-lit latenight concert. Teas are also served following
the afternoon concerts.

Breast Cancer Care is urging
Kent residents to join the charity
and a sea of pink walkers on
Saturday 20th June 2015 for
the annual Pink Ribbon walk
around the beautiful parkland
of Leeds Castle. The walk
returns for a 4th year to support
those facing breast cancer. This year, there is an option to walk a new
shorter five-mile route, as well as the 10-mile and 20-mile options. The
shorter route will be open to families; children over the age of eight will be
able to take part, and the age limit for the 10- and 20-mile routes has been
lowered to 14, so it’s a day the whole family can enjoy together.

TunerFest South // 21 Jun
Little Gardens of Sandwich

TunerFest is a brand new event for
2015 focused on high-end tuning, and
it's sure to turn plenty of heads. The
Time Attack series will be putting cars
to the ultimate test on circuit, with
heavily modified cars competing against
the clock, and off-track entertainment
including top car clubs. Petrolheads
will love looking through the displays and perhaps bringing their own pride
and joy to join the lineup. Passenger rides on circuit or on the rally stage,
as well as child friendly entertainment, make this a thrilling day for all.

The medieval town of Sandwich will
be in full bloom when it hosts the annual
Little Gardens of Sandwich. The
popular event provides the gardenloving members of the public with a
wonderful opportunity to visit a number
of private, hidden gardens in the town and afterwards enjoy a cream tea
in the St Mary’s Arts Centre. A number of specialist plant nurseries will also
be showcasing and selling a wide variety of perennials, annuals and shrubs
in St Mary’s.
