welcome
The cute penguin advert is out of the bag so it must be official:
Christmas is here. That and the fact that all the gift-laden shops are
playing Christmas songs on a loop, which, by the way, strikes me down
with a sense of guilt every time I realise that the bag in my hand contains
a present for yours truly.
While I enjoy the merry-go-round of hectic weekends, Christmas work
parties and festive entertaining (anything that will have you accused of
burning the candle at both ends), I'm only too aware of the need for
downtime in order to recuperate. If you're struggling to find the balance
and as a result, your sleep is disrupted, read up on how to get a good
night's kip with our expert tips on page 116.
If this sounds like you, I have just the tonic to get you in gear: the
terrifying fact that as I write this, we now have less than four weeks to
get Christmas-ready, and our inspiring, rather hefty Christmas gift guide
(p43). That is 24 pages of gifting goodness for him, her, the kids, the
pets, the postman, and everyone in between. Just checking you're
concentrating!
Well that's it from me. All that's left to say is have a very merry Christmas
– if it's anything like mine it will consist of eating, drinking, napping,
eating...you see where I'm going with this. See you on the flipside.

We have also taken the liberty of listing the top spots for Christmas
shopping in Kent (p129), shared some delicious festive recipes (p94),
and even picked out some sparkly, festive fashion for you to don on the
big day (p101). However, there's an elephant in the room; and that is of
course, that we haven't mentioned our HUGE, glittering, incredibly
amazing Great Christmas Gift Giveaway. Bigger than ever before, this
year one lucky winner can win over £3,000 worth of fabulous prizes
including dinner for two at numerous Kent restaurants, top gadgets,
high-end gift cards, subscriptions, and much more. To see just what is
on offer and for details on how to enter, get yourself over to page 156
immediately.
