The Southbank Festival
The Southbank Centre (including
the Royal Festival Hall) offers up
a range of festive treats for
young, old, and everyone in
between. There are various
different performances inside,
as well as a superb Christmas
market along the Southbank.
Christmas 2014 is packed
full of great shows including There Was An Old Woman (13th December
to 4th January). This world premiere from Oily Cart is ideal for three to five
year olds, and includes live music on a multi-sensory adventure. For older
children (14+) there is Apocalypse Meow: Crisis is Born. This fun show
features Meow Meow in a rather non-traditional Christmas show that will
have toes tapping and bodies swaying in time to the music (16th-29th
December).
Also on the line up is Cirque Alfonse’s Timber (21st-31st December),
Fascinating Aida – Charm Offensive (1st-11th January 2015), and the
fabulous Christmas No.1 Singalong show with Rainer Hersch.
