WHITSTABLE’S
BLOOMIN’ SUCCESS
Whitstable has won a silver gilt award for its 2014 whole-town entry to
South East in Bloom. This is a great achievement and just reward for all
the collective effort and widespread participation that has gone into making
Whitstable bloom this year.
Simply Ice Cream, based near Ashford, has tried something a little unusual
and has received fantastic, and perhaps unexpected, feedback.
The company, which is renowned for producing thick, creamy, indulgent
ice creams, used its knowledge to produce Camel Milk Ice Cream for the
first time.
This September, Simply Ice Cream produced three flavours of the ice cream
– vanilla, mango and strawberry – and took it along to Hole Park’s Camel
Race Day for John Hare of the Wild Camel Foundation. The stand sold out
