For those of you who have been living on another
planet (and not Galifrey), I will briefly explain this
phenomenon. Every now and again, the Doctor
'changes' – regenerates. He is the same person
inside, with the same history, character and same
memories, but he looks a fair bit different.
Usually the writers use this opportunity to bring
the entire show – funky CGI titles, credits, music
score and all – bang up to date. By creating a
brand new, yet familiar experience, it not only
draws in new fans, but entertains the existing
loyal ones too.
This brings me on rather nicely to the regenerated
MINI Cooper S Automatic, which I recently had
the good fortune to test drive. It's the third version
of the timeless MINI legend to roll off the
production line, so I guess in terms of our Time
Lord friend, that would make it Tom Baker. This
is fine by me; Baker came along at just the right
time, and with his eccentric ways and fabulous
scarf, he was always my favourite.
Anyway, I digress. Back to the MINI Cooper S
